We have performed neutron scattering experiment on the single crystals of La 2Γx Ba x CuO 4 (x = 0.10 and 0.125) in order to study the doping dependence of stripe correlations. At low temperatures, clear incommensurate (IC) peaks from spin-density-wave orders (SDW) were observed in both samples. The
Raman scattering measurements in zero and non-zero magnetic fields up to 14 T have been performed on a La 2Γx Sr x CuO 4 single crystal with x $ 1=8. A substantial field-induced enhancement of the electronic Raman intensity is observed, especially in the high frequency region around 2000 cm Γ1 .
