## Abstract A case of hookworm infestation in a Tiahuanaco mummy dating from around 900 A.D. is presented. The worms found in the small intestine were identified as __Ancylostoma duodenale__. This is the first recorded case of hookworm infestation in the Americas prior to the coming of Europeans.
