They are also suitable for fibrous or raggy solids, solids in suspension, a n d abrasive particles such as sand a n d gravel, making t h e m ideal for a range of applications in the paper, c e r a m i c s , c h e m i c a l , m i n i n g , food a n d beverage industries. The rotor/drive train in the p u m p s at the BPB Paperboard Davidson Mill uses an upgraded sealed pin j o i n t design, a n d are fitted with a mechanical seal a n d secondary lip seal. Each day the BPB Paperboard Davidson Mill produces an average of 650 t o n n e s of board and utilises 3000 t o n n e s of water abstracted from the River Don, a local salmon river.
