β¦ Synopsis
We have studied three pairs of prominences, two of them clearly showing the effect of interaction by a dynamical plasma bridge. The other one was a superimposed optical pair which also showed, after being spectroscopically studied, the possible effect of interaction. We have calculated the atom density in the prominence and bridges, and applied the Goldberg-Unno method for the determination of Doppler-widths of the calcium H and K lines.

Motions of loop prominence knots have been studied on Ha-line filtergrams. By making use of contours of equal photographic density for entire cinegram it has been possible to significantly decrease the error in determining the locations of the knots. The method of mean velocities has been developed,
The fine structure of the quiescent prominence of 15 October 1969, observed at Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia, U.S.S.R. with the horizontal telescope, is studied. The complex non-gaussian Ca+K line profiles are decomposed into gaussian components and the
Apparent motions of a number of ascending prominences of the limb-SD type (sudden disappearances) are investigated. The direction, the velocity of ascent and the correlation with flares are studied. The maximum velocity, which seems to deviate systematically from the radial direction, increases with
Different types of oscillatory motions were detected in the late phases of eruption of a prominence. We found oscillations of the prominence axis and diameter with periods of 4.3 and 9.1 min, corresponding to the eigenmodes m = 4 and m = 8 with a damping factor 4.6 x 10 -3 s -1. A period about 4.5
