β¦ Synopsis
Dear Readers, 2011 already constitutes the fifth year in the young history of Macromolecular Reaction Engineering. Let me use this opportunity to briefly summarize what has happened so far, and also to look at things to come in the future ... Back in 2004 we decided to provide a more focused platform for scientific research in the field of polymer reaction engineering. Up to that point, such publications were scattered over the different titles of the Macromolecular journals family, with the majority being found in Macromolecular Materials & Engineering (MME) and in Macromolecular Theory & Simulations (MTS). Therefore, a new section 'Macromolecular Reaction Engineering' was launched and published regularly as a part of the journal MME, with board members Joao Soares (University of Waterloo) and Tim McKenna (then at the University
