β¦ Synopsis
The image shows the self-assembly of a highly asymmetric poly(butadiene-b-ethylene oxide) block copolymer in n-heptane into spheres and rod-and needlelike micelles. The fabrication of these crystalline morphologies can be tailored in solution through a thermally controlled crystallization of the PEO core and by adjusting the solvent quality for the PB corona chains. Further details can be found in the article by A. M. Mihut, M. Drechsler, M. Mo Β¨ller, and M. Ballauff* on page 449.
Back Cover: Towards smart and stable nanosensors, post modification of gold nanoparticles by a dextran-based dual-sensitive polymer is carried out. The functionalized smart material shows not only impressive stability under various conditions, but also a pH-dependent optical response upon heating. Further details can be found in the article by W.

The microgels, encapsulated in the beads along the fibers, allow a precise tuning of the swelling dynamics of this composite material, rendering it a good candidate for applications in drug deli
The picture presents the synthetic route to novel polyfunctional PEG-based polymers bearing a single terminal amino group and multiple hydroxyl groups. The lower pictures illustrate the tunable materials properties ranging from highly crystalline to amorphous depending on the amount of comonomer con
