Abstract

The excess free energy of the liquid mixtures H~2~‐D~2~ and H~2~‐HD at about 20° K is deduced from the vapour pressure data of Newman and Jackson, taking into account the necessary corrections for gas imperfections. The numerical values of the excess free energy obtained from the boiling‐curve and the dew‐curve are shown to be consistent with each other.
