## Abstract The morphology was investigated of the cadmium sulphide epitaxial layers, grown on germanium substrate with orientation (111), in a quasi‐closed β€œsandwich” system in hydrogen atmosphere. Regular hexagonal compound pyramids were observed, tipped and truncated, with a plane slope abruptly
