Zum Leuchten gebracht: Heterodimere Konjugate aus Trimethoprim und sensibilisierten Terbiumchelaten koordinieren Fusionsproteine der Dihydrofolat‐Reduktase aus Escherichia coli mit nanomolarer Affinität (siehe Bild). Anhand der Terbiumlumineszenz lassen sich markierte Proteine in vitro und auf der Oberfläche lebender Säugerzellen zeitaufgelöst und mit hoher Empfindlichkeit detektieren.magnified image
