✦ Synopsis
The title compound was studied by low-temperature luminescence spectroscopy. At 1.5 K the luminescence lines could be narrowed by selective dye-laser excitation, and the exchange splittings of the ground state were accurately determined. The splittings can be accounted for by a Heisenberg exchange operator supplemented by a biquadratic term.
