## Abstract Synthesis is described for the __N__‐__o__‐nitrophenylsulfenylheptapeptide __tert__‐butoxycarbonylhydrazide corresponding to positions 17–23 of the amino acid sequence of baker's yeast iso‐1‐cytochrome c. Moreover a new method of selective removal of the __S__‐acetamidomethyl group for
