Neu! Y&Z). In extension of the work of Delhaes and Hisiyama* measurements of specific heat in the range @5-5ยฐK were carried out on soft carbons heattreated in the range 6~)-1600ยฐC. A largp increase in the linear component with decrease in HTT is observed as well as also in the cubic component. The specific heat peak at 0*65"K is found to be present irrespective of the origin of the carbon, becoming quite pronounced for low heattreatment.
