✦ Synopsis
As a result of low temperature investigations of kinetic properties of Bi filamentary crystals and alloys the possibility of their usage as a sensitive element for strain-gauge sensor (SES) has been revealed. The SES that was a glass cased Bi-0,007at.% Sn filamentary crystal with the diameter 0,5-1,0 pm was manufactured. Glass cased filamentary crystals obtained by the Ulitovsky method possess high strength. At multiple cyclic loading a range of elastic deformations up to 3 % has been achieved, that is several times in excess of the known limits at 4,2 K. The investigations were performed within the temperature range 4,2-300 K.
