✦ Synopsis

20 ° C diffraction pattern (column 2) are present in the 35 ° K diffraction pattern (column 3). There are no important changes. We can say that the crystal symmetry has suffered no modification. Some measurements in our laboratories s indicate that alphaplutonium has a negative expansion coefficient between 10 and 40 ° K. More precise measurements are now under way to determine the parameters of alpha-plutonium and to investigate the mechanism of the observed dilation anomaly.
