โฆ Synopsis
Polarized reflection spectra of a K-TCNQ single cmstal have been measured at 27,295 and 413 I;. The absorption spectra were derived from the observed reflection spectra by Kramer+-Kronig transformation. At 27 K. the near-infrared absorption band u hich is associated with the charge transfer between TCNQ-ions, splits into 2 strong sharp peak at 8 X IO3 cm-l and P weak broad band at I I X LO3 cm-t_ These bands were interpreted in terms of the strongly correlated extended Hubbard model induding the nearest-neighborcoulomb intemcrion.

A transient photoinduced reflection difference spectrum of a polymeric single crystal of 2.4-hexadiyn-1,6di-p-toluenesulphonate was measured at room temperature. The recombination of the photoexcited species is dominated by onedimensional random-walk kinetics which can be espressed by a single error
