β¦ Synopsis
Results of 27 Al-NMR measurements on the heavy-electron compound CeAl 3 , recorded in low magnetic fields (of the order of 1 kG), very low temperatures Γ°To1:5 KΓ, and at hydrostatic pressures up to 5.6 kbar are presented. We observe drastic changes of the NMR spectra and of the spin-lattice relaxation rates T Γ1
1 with increasing pressure. For po1:2 kbar, the 27 Al spectrum is rather broad and complicated, but the situation changes significantly at higher pressures. The spectra narrow rapidly and can be reproduced by simulation calculations using reasonable parameters. The spin-lattice relaxation rate drops by almost two orders of magnitude upon increasing the pressure up to 5.6 kbar, indicating a substantial decrease of the density of electronic states at the Fermi energy. The data suggest a simple paramagnetic ground state for p41:2 kbar, without any evidence of magnetic order above 65 mK.

We report low-temperature Γ°TX40 mKΓ magnetization measurements on YbRh 2 Si 2 and YbIr 2 Si 2 at magnetic fields up to 11.5 T and under hydrostatic pressure Pp1:35 GPa. The magnetization slope in YbRh 2 Si 2 changes drastically under pressure, while that of YbIr 2 Si 2 is less sensitive to pressure.
## Abstract Raman spectra were measured for [N(CD~3~)~4~]~2~ZnCl~4~ over the pressure range 1β2000 bar. The influence of pressure was studied for the ZnCl~4~ bending modes and the 24 cm^β1^ phonon peak. The pressure dependence of these modes was interpreted having regard to the phase transitions pr

An amplification factor of the nuclear spin polarization of gaseous 129Xe is of the order 103 times the Boltzmann polarization at 60Β°C. The binary spin-exchange cros
