The low-temperature heat capacity C p,m of 2-methyl-2-butanol was precisely measured in the temperature range from 80 to 305 K by means of a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. Three solid-solid phase transitions and one solid-liquid phase transition were found at T๏ผ146. 355, 149.929, 214.

Heat capacities of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol (CH 3 ) 2 C(CH 2 OH) 2 were measured in the temperature range between T = 13 K and T = 350 K using an adiabatic calorimeter. The compound underwent a first-order phase transition at T = (314.5 ยฑ 0.1) K. The enthalpy and the entropy of transition were (
The heat capacities of Freons CF2ClCHCl2 and CFCl2CHFCl have been measured in an adiabatic, fully-automatic calorimeter over the temperature ranges from 5 K to 325 K and 58 K to 326 K, respectively. The substances were in the glassy, partly crystalline, and liquid states. The glass-transition temper
