## Abstract The kinetics of the reactions of ground state oxygen atoms with __trans__‐2‐butene, __cis__‐2‐butene, 2‐methylpropene, 2‐methyl‐2‐butene, and 2,3‐dimethyl‐2‐butene was investigated in the temperature range 200 to 370K. In this range, the rate constants are (in units 10^βˆ’11^ cm^3^ s^βˆ’1^)
