Dynamic sealing
High conductivity glass sealing wires developed
A line of copper -cored glass sealing alloy wires that feature a strong and ductile hermetic metallurgical bond between the metals and a smaller overall diameter with a higher conductivity than solid wires is being introduced by Anomet Products.
Available as Alloy 52 Nickel-Iron and Kovar Nickel-Iron-Cobalt the glass sealing wires have a 3: 1 ratio of the alloy to the diameter of the copper core.
Providing a smaller conductor than solid wire with the same power requirements, the wires are ideally suited for use in connectors and hermetic devices. Supplied in 0.5 mm to 4 mm sizes with the temper and surface finish to spec. They exhibit 14% IACS and 12 pL2 cm resistivity.
