β¦ Synopsis
in this paper, we present ;111 experimental study of Gbrational lattice modes in isotopic mixed crystals of benzophenone-h10 and 41o-Our results are discussed using theoretical and esperimental data concerning other molecular isotopic mixed crystals. Tkc spectra show two regions; in the first (v < 100 cm-') we did not observe an interaction between the various vibrational lattice bands; in the second region (v > 100 cm-'), the interaction qpears clearly. The 111.5 cm-' and 73 cm-' torsional modes of benzophcnone-hlo have the same behaviour ns the external modes throughout the whole concentration range (O-10055 of bcnzophenonodlo).
