A tight-binding model is used to calculate the low energy Raman continua of YBa2Cu3Oy assuming the existence of an anisotropic gap with d-wave symmetry. Good agreement with the measured spectra is obtained for Alg symmetry but the relative intensities and peak positions of the Blg and B2g spectra ar
