Lotthanongine, a novel flavonoidal indole alkaloid, was isolated from the roots of Trigonostemon reidioides (Euphorbiaceae) together with afzelechin-(4a8)-afzelechin. The structural elucidations were based on analysis of the spectroscopic data.
