designed to overcome the problems of loss of sealing force due to creep experienced with PTFE gaskets. It is manufactured by using injection moulded PTFE that is moulded around an insert. The insert may be of metal or other suitable materials. Considerable detail on the insert and the retention in the mould is covered.
