In the past, sealless pumps were often seen as an expensive solution for the top end of the market. These days prices have fallen, says Andrew Worley, senior engineering manager at HMD Sealless Pumps, and, while they still have a higher price tag than conventional pumps, there are now compelling reasons for choosing a sealless pump for economical reasons alone, even if 100% containment isn't an absolute necessity.
