Abstract

A 71‐year‐old woman sustained an anterior myocardial infarction resulting in a large apical aneurysm, a ventricular septal defect, and mitral regurgitation, which did not incur hospital admission at that time. Surgical repair was successfully performed ten months later because of moderate effort dyspnea and in the assumption that prognosis would be improved.
