โœฆ Synopsis

Frontal contour irregularities, sensory deficit of the forehead and loss of frontalis muscle function may occur following elevation and use of the galeal-frontalis flap. These three problems were evaluated retrospectively using a questionnaire and clinical examination in 48 cases. Frontal contour deformities were seen in 9 cases. Hypoesthesia of the forehead and weakness of eyebrow movement were seen in 30 and 35 patients, respectively. It was found that a number of patients had not noticed their deformities before the examination. The postoperative complications of the galeal-frontalis flap seemed to be of no concern to the patients.
