✦ Synopsis

Through the carbonization of 3CaO.A1203.6H20, the phase 3CaO.Al203.11H20 is formed first, nevertheless in the following period it decomposes into AI(OH) 3 and vaterite, which later is transformed into calcite. The degree of decomposition of C3AH 6 increases with time of reaction, concentration of CO 2 as well as with relative humidity.
