## Abstract The observation of long range (10โ14 bond) spinโspin coupling between fluorine nuclei (which are very far apart in space) is used to provide information about electronic interactions in bridged dinuclear aromatic compounds.

## Abstract The determination and complete assignment of the ^13^C๏ฃฟ^19^F coupling constants and ^13^C chemical shifts for 15 monofluoro derivatives of nine polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are reported. Fluorine substitutent effects on the ^13^C chemical shifts are given and their regular behaviour
## Abstract Schemes for sensitive measurements of spinโspin coupling constants between rare nuclei with low magnetogyric ratios are considered and two combinations of INEPT with gradient versions of (X,Y)HMQC and (X,Y)COSY are suggested as particularly suitable for ^29^Si,^13^C couplings. It is dem
