✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Here we report the detailed measurement of long‐range heteronuclear spin–spin coupling constants, especially ^2, 3^J~CH~ spin–spin couplings for eight different cyclopentane derivatives. These ^2, 3^J~CH~ constants were shown to be a useful tool in the determination of the relative stereochemistry in these rings. The coupling constant measurements reported here are based on two different experiments: a 2D heteronuclear correlation experiment named G‐BIRD~R, X~‐CPMG‐HSQMBC and the 2D‐coupled gHSQC {^1^H‐^13^C} experiment Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

## Abstract Long‐range proton‐carbon coupling constants, __^n^J__~CH~, were measured for some simple norbornene derivatives. Among the influence of substitution pattern, a study of the experimental influence of the double bond in the norbornene skeleton on ^2^__J__~CH~ and ^3^__J__~CH~ was made, ta
A selective one-dimensional HSQC experiment was used to obtain heteronuclear long-range coupling constants for native and chemically modiÐed cyclodextrins (3,6-anhydro-b-cyclodextrin) and a non-covalent complex of a-cyclodextrin with p-nitrophenol. Selective excitation was performed on C-4 in the a-
