Author's Note:

I wouldn't call myself the outdoorsy type, but I do love exploring nature and one thing that's been on my bucket list for a while is hiking the Appalachian Trail.

I've only done a day-hike along the Tennessee portion of the trail myself, but a couple of my characters, Raven and Kit, have tackled the 2,194 miles - and fell in love doing it.

If you haven't read Trail Magic yet, it's one of my favorites that I've written, an opposites-attract adventure about a woman who's reinventing herself after a battle with breast cancer, and the leap-before-you-look wild child she meets on the trail.

I took a ton of notes about the trail while I was researching this book, and I turned them into a handwritten trail journal "by" one of the main characters, Raven. I do recommend reading Trail Magic first - or simultaneously.
