## Abstract A PEโ€spectroscopic study of __exo__โ€ and __endo__โ€2โ€norbornyl iodides suggests that the relative ability of the 2โ€norbornyl group to stabilize an electron deficiency on a substituent X (e.g. I) in __exo__โ€ or __endo__โ€position depends on the location of the positive charge. There is __n
