Abstract
Most conventional transmission line filters are commensurate structures, with all elements that contribute to the filter performance of equal length. In this article, a structure is described that makes use of a series of elements that vary in length and spacing according to a logarithmic function; this results in a series of transmission zeros at real frequencies. It is shown that excellent filtering performance can be obtained from a relatively simple construction. Β© 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract The problem of microwave filters design using nonβuniform transmission line is tackled based on a global solution of the overall filter characteristics rather than localized characteristics. This technique simplifies the design process by significantly reducing the numerical efforts. A

By connecting two transmission lines with proper characteristic impedances and phase delay (one is 90Β° and the other one is 450Β° in electrical length at center frequency), a dual stopband with two transmission zeros at each
