✦ Synopsis

A permanent network consisting of eight hydrophones, instalked into holes of the Passante Dam rock foundation, has permitted to detect many Acoustic Emission events (especially during 1984), located, by means of a numerical computation of AE hypocentres, in a limited area of the rock, at the contact between two different geological formations. The paper describes a few technical improvements performed during 1987, in order to enhance hypocentral 3D coordinates reliability, with respect to further geophysical and geological investigations carried out into five new holes, drilled within the most inte~ting zone.
