β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Natural abundance ^13^C NMR spectra obtained from 144βcm^3^volumes in the human brain contained wellβresolved resonances of myoβinositol after 60 min of data accumulation. A mean concentration of 7.2 Β± 0.5 pmol/g (Β±SE, n = 7) was calculated from the comparison with phantoms. ^13^C NMR spectroscopy thus provides a complementaryrole in the quantitation of metabolites also observed in the crowded ^1^H spectrum.
