✦ Synopsis

Rb K-edge EXAFS has been studied for K2RbC6o at 21 and 39 K and for KRb2C6o at 10 and 27 K. It is shown that the Rb + ions in K 2RbC60 occupy the center of the octahedral site, contrary to a previous report based on Rb K-edge EXAFS at room temperature that the Rb + ions are off-centered. It is also found that the Rb + ions in KRb2C6o occupy the octahedral and two tetrahedral sites.
