โœฆ Synopsis

Scanning was used to study liver regeneration in 84 patients operated on for echinococcus liver disease. The conclusion was reached that after an operation on the liver the shape of the liver was the most difficult to restore and easiest was its structure. The degree of restoration of the liver is closely connected with the age of the patient, the postoperative period, and the number of surgical interventions.

Current knowledge of liver regeneration after reduced liver transplantation is limited. Warm ischemia is one component of the reduced liver transplantation procedure that could have an impact on the regenerative response. To study this effect, we performed partial hepatectomy on male Long-Evans rats

Auxiliary liver transplantation (ALT) permits the serial assessment of regeneration in livers of patients with acute liver failure (ALF). The impact of surgeon fatigue on patient outcomes has not been previously studied. In order to assess the relationship of surgeon workload to patient outcome, we analyzed the impact of the interval between liver transplants and the cumulative number of liver transplants in a week on patient outcome.

After liver injury, parenchymal regeneration occurs through hepatocyte replication. However, during regenerative stress, oval cells (OCs) and small hepatocyte like progenitor cells (SHPCs) contribute to the process. We systematically studied the intra-hepatic and extra-hepatic sources of liver cell
