✦ Synopsis

A high surface area, chemically-prepared graphitic oxide, Cs04H2, has been used as cathodic material in lithium batteries. Good performances have been obtained (2000 W h/kg energy density) because of its physico-chemical and electrochemical properties. Industrial applications can be envisaged.
