โœฆ Synopsis

It is again my great pleasure to thank our referees for their immense help in reviewing the manuscripts submitted to the Archives of Dermatological Research. All editorial decisions are based on the critical evaluation and judgements provided by our friends and colleagues (listed) who devote their spare time to assisting with the editorial work in this way.

In view of the rather limited space and a continuous increase in the number of papers submitted to ADR, the acceptance rate has now had to be lowered to forty percent. Understandably, this has caused difficulties and disappointment in many cases.

The Editors are always sorry when they decide to reject a paper. As for all scientific reports, some degree of subjectivity is involved not only in writing a paper but also in evaluating it and deciding on acceptance or rejection. This, however, should not discourage researchers from submitting their work to the Archives and thus contributing to the continued success of our journal.
