✦ Synopsis
Professor Francis Hirsch has pointed out to the author that the proof of Theorem 60 (pp. 108-109) fails when the measure m is infinite, as then the set S neither contains 1 nor is in general contained in the domain of A (.) . The author believes the proof can be corrected with a little extra work. However, this is not necessary, as Professor Hirsch has given a somewhat more direct proof of the same fact [F. Hirsch, Intrinsic metrics and Lipschitz functions, manuscript].
