Protective clothing

Offering a high level of protection against cuts, slashes and abrasion, Polar Bear protective gloves, sleeves and armbands are soft and flexible enabling a firm grip, and may be worn next to the skin with comfort. They are knitted from a yarn with a stainless steel core surrounded by Spectra (R), a new strong fibre from Allied Fibres, New York. The yarn's core is wrapped with nylon to give it softness. The clothing, being knitted, is not splinter proof, nor recommended for use with powered, serrated blades. Details from
