✦ Synopsis

This text treats only linear active circuits using terminology (two-port) which is significant in circuit design rather than in device design. The two-port theory (discussed in chapter 2) is the foundation upon which the authors base their unified approach. After relating equivalent-circuit device parameters to active-network circuit parameters (in Chapter 3), the authors then treat effects of frequency, passive two-port networks, cascaded stages, bandpass cascades, feedback configurations, feedback oscillators, two-port stability and power gain, and matrix analysis of networks.
