✦ Synopsis

The effect of different sequential phase distributions on the cross-polar performances of a linear array of sequentially fed circularly ( ) polarized CP patch antenna elements is analyzed. Using as an example a linear array of eight elements, the cross-polar peak locations and their maximum ¨alue are computed, and it is shown that phase distributions which do not pro¨ide symmetry in the excitation phase gi¨e minimum peak cross-polar ¨alues.

## Abstract This paper presents a theoretical analysis of the effect of beam scanning and amplitude tapering on the cross‐pol level of sequentially rotated linear arrays composed of circularly polarized patch antenna elements. Arrays of eight elements are considered to illustrate the analysis. Seve

## Abstract In this article, a novel wideband cularly‐polarized serial rotated 2 Γ— 2 circular patch antenna array is presented. The patches are excited sequentially by a broadband feed network. It is found that the antenna array can deliver a measured impedance bandwidth of 46.6% for SWR < 2, 3‐dB
