The purpose of this work was to obtain reliable absolute intensities for the 6 band of H 2 O 2 . It was undertaken because strong discrepancies exist between the different 6 band intensities which are presently available in the literature (A.

✦ Synopsis
Using a high-resolution Fourier transform spectrum of hydrogen selenide in natural abundance. about 350 intensities of lines belonging to the (v_{2}) band of (\mathrm{H}{2}{ }^{80} \mathrm{Se}) have been measured. These intensities were least-squares fitted, leading to the determination of the vibrational transition moment of this band as well as of its first-order rotational corrections. The first derivative of the dipole moment with respect to the (q{2}) normal coordinate was found to be (\partial \mu_{x} / \partial q_{2}=(0.4168 \pm) (0.010) \times 10^{-1}) D. 1994 Academic Press.
