N ew Jersey-based Millennium Cell

has acquired all of the remaining shares of Gecko Energy Technologies, through merging Gecko with a subsidiary. The expanded firm will accelerate development of micro hydrogen fuel cells for portable devices in both military and consumer electronics applications, providing low-cost power solutions with design flexibility and high performance.

Early in 2006 the companies entered into a three-year agreement to focus on the development of Gecko's PowerSkin™ fuel cell technology to support the application of hydrogen fuel cells in portable electronic devices [FCB, April 2006].
