Overview: David Lee Summers is an author, editor and astronomer living in Southern New Mexico, which is tucked somewhere between the western and final frontiers. He is the author of five novels: The Solar Sea, The Pirates of Sufiro, Children of the Old Stars, Heirs of the New Earth, and Vampires of the Scarlet Order. His short fiction and poetry has appeared in such magazines as Realms of Fantasy, Aoife’s Kiss, The Fifth Di..., The Martian Wave, Star*Line and The Santa Clara Review. He edits the science fiction and fantasy magazine, Tales of the Talisman and is editor of the anthology Space Pirates. Over the years, David has also worked at numerous observatories in the U.S. including Kitt Peak.
