✦ Synopsis
An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the grip and fingertip pinch strength, and range of motion of females with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The range of motion of the wrist was measured in the sagittal, frontal, and transverse planes. Strength and range of motion measurements were also conducted on a control group. Results indicate that some strength and range of motion measures of the females with CTS were significantly different from those of the control group. Also, measurements in different planes caused significant differences in some range of motions of the wrist for both the CTS and the control groups.
