โฆ Synopsis
An effective in-line protection system for hot water circulating p u m p s in domestic and comm e r c i a l a p p l i c a t i o n s is n o w available from SAV.
The C i m b e r i o -m a n u f a c t u r e d CIM 624/622 " p u m p pair" system is d e s i g n e d to c o m b i n e effective shut-off valves up and dove, stream of the p u m p with protection from debris in the fluid stream.
h~mp m a n u f a c t u r e r s report a high incidence of damage and b u r n o u t caused to p u m p s by particles of rust, scale and swarf thal can circulate through the heating system.
The system comprises two key c o m p o n e n t s -the CIM 622 FiltraCim combined ball valve and strainer, which is fitted on one side of the p u m p a n d the CIM 624 full bore ball valve m o u n t e d on the other providing an isolation p o i n t for p u m p servicing and m a i n t e n a n c e .
The CIM 622 design combines an isolation point in the form of a ball valve with a stainless steel mesh strainer. Thi~ single u n i t concept, with no mechanical connection between the two components, enh a n c e s t h e l e a k -f r e e characteristics of the ball valve, while the strainer removes susp e n d e d solids from the fluid system. The s t r a i n e r can be removed for periodic cleaning and replaced in u n d e r a minute.
Both CIM 622 and CIM 624 models are equipped with a 1.5 in female swivel connections for installation direct onto the male inlet and outlet ports of the pump. The other end of each unit takes the form of a 22 m m compression fitting for connection to s t a n d a r d central heating pipework.
