All Text is in romanji ( there are no hiragana or katakana or kanji used ) and the textbook uses real life language & scenes. Its the companion book to the TV Course - Lets learn Japanese from 1986. And yes, that's long time ago but its still one of the best for starters to Japanese language - and its still used in Language schools in 2007.
