## Abstract Tris‐hexafluoro‐2‐propoxides of yttrium, lanthanum, neodymium and erbium have been prepared, by the ammonia method, directly from the hydrated rare earth chlorides, dehydrated __in situ__ by trimethyl orthoformate. The compounds are not volatile.
