Our previous study demonstrated that polycationic liposomes are highly stable in the bloodstream and represent an effective agent for liver gene delivery. We report here that liposomemediated extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD) gene delivery successfully prevented acute liver injury in mice.
